The Clockwork Dragon and the Girl Who Dreamed of Stars

In the attic workshop of her family’s quirky, colorful house in Cogsworthy Springs, ten-year-old Elara tinkers with gears, wires, and shimmering powders, surrounded by the warm scent of oil and brass. Her parents, eccentric inventors, have gifted her this space to fuel her curiosity, but Elara hides a marvelous secret even from them: Cogsworth, a clockwork dragon the size of a cat, crafted from copper plates, brass gears, and leather wings. Found discarded at a swap meet, Elara lovingly restored him, and now his sapphire eyes glow with life, his snout puffing colorful sparks when he’s happy. As the Stardust Festival approaches, promising lights, music, and the shining of the town’s Great Star Cog, Elara dreams of sharing Cogsworth’s wonder. But when a strange, grinding noise disrupts the town’s rhythmic hum and Cogsworth’s sparks turn dull, Elara senses trouble brewing—trouble that might threaten her best friend and the festival itself.
